Socking

Socking a Foreleg in a Dog

There’s a way to cut the neck of a sock so that you can put the dog’s foot down it, and then pull the tube of the sock over the head to secure it.

You need a sock that’s as tall as the dog at the shoulder. So from the tip of the toe, with enough length to actually pull over the dog’s head. They probably don’t even MAKE socks long enough to accommodate a Great Dane.

So the following document describes and illustrates how to put that sock on. I also have a video of the process if the images don’t make enough sense.

If you’d like to download the ‘handy dandy’ printable version in PDF format, please feel free. Here’s the link to “How to Sock the Foreleg of a Dog”

I believe if you click this, you get the ‘big’ version.
